The objective of this Tabasco campaign was twofold. To generate purchase of Tabasco Brand Pepper Sauce and gain placement of Tabasco bottles in restaurants consistent with a spicy theme.

The result was an on-pack mail-in promotion offering a free Indian meal. Consumers were invited to mail in special tokens to receive a ‘2 for 1’ voucher entitling them to a free main dish when another main dish of equal or greater value was ordered. There were 900 Indian restaurants participating in the promotion and a bespoke website created for customers to locate their nearest restaurant.

As well as offering an advisory service on the risk management of this campaign, Umbrella also managed all the handling.
