In January 2006, Yoplait began an awareness building campaign for their WeightWatchers rice pudding and mousse range. This is a key time of year for the brand, as their target market cut back on calories after an over indulgent Christmas. With the objective of generating trial, they wanted to be in a risk-free position to run a great promotion using big headlines… and Umbrella were able to help.
By placing the risk with Umbrella, WeightWatchers were able to run a ‘try me for free’ offer with a big and bold headline that had lots of standout on the shelves. The consumer had to mail-in a completed coupon along with till receipt in order to receive their refund. It was a huge success for WeightWatchers.
